Introduction
Lucky Wood Ltd., a family owned company since 1954, is under the new management of CEO Miss Michelle Lin, granddaughter of the company’s founder, Mr. Wan Lai Lin.
History
Lucky Wood Ltd. Has evolved in several ways. It has gone through two name changes; there has been diversification of its product line; and sales and distribution have expanded worldwide. But, at its core, Lucky Wood Ltd. has withstood the test of time by staying true to its roots. I t has stayed in the family of Mr. Wan Lai Lin since its inception almost 70 years ago. While the company has shown flexibility and responsiveness to fluid market demands, and has diversified its product line accordingly, the products have always been rooted in the high quality wood of their trees which are thousands of years old. Like the Lin family business, these trees have withstood the test of time. They have adapted to changing climates and weathered occasional storms. They represent strength, grace, prosperity, and even a sense of being timeless.
In years past, the company’s products included items such as high quality wooden bowls, utensils , trays, candy boxes, coasters, and other wooden commodities of use in the home . These products have been exported worldwide and supplied some of the world’s largest chain retailers such as Costco and Target.
A New Direction
When Miss Michelle Lin became the CEO of Lucky Wood Ltd., she assessed the current market demands, and she considered how their Luanta wood could be used to help meet those demands. What stood out to her is how many chemical products are in the world today, and how this is having a negative impact on health. There is an interest in all-natural products, and in the health benefits of pure essential oils. After doing some research, she learned that the essential oil from the Luanta wood had been used for purification and health benefits thousands of years ago, even being referenced in biblical times. With rising excitement at this new“find,” Miss Lin sought out highly-reputable scientists in the field to purify the oil, investigate its multitude of beneficial properties, and find ways of using the oil in different products that would benefit the life of everyone who used it.
About Luanta Wood
Luanta wood is carefully selected from the deep mountains of Lao Guo, a naturally pure and pollution-free environment. The age of the tree can reach more than 1,000 years, and the species is rare. At present, logging of these trees is prohibited in almost all parts of the world, with only a few companies such as ours having some rights to these trees in this portion of Laos. Our company selects thousand-year-old Luanta trees which grow at an altitude of over 1500 to 1800 meters. The natural Luanta wood provides a host of benefits to one’s body, mind, spirit, and environment. Its soothing cedar scent, known as the aroma of the forest, comes from the phytoncides which it emits to ward off any potentially harmful microbes or insects. Thus, its rare essential oil has both antimicrobial properties and the ability to dispel mosquitoes. It also has a diverse range of healing properties for various body systems including one’s skin.
Why Luanta Wood
We hope to bring the Luanta wood products that have been naturally cultivated for thousands of years into everyone’s life, so that their powerful life energy may be used to heal the soul, improve one’s health, and avoid the harm caused by chemical products. Our mission is to help everyone achieve a balance between body and soul, and move toward a healthier and more prosperous life.
